Some fungi are continuing to fruit. There are reports of Honeys (Armillaria mellea), Pear-shaped Puffballs Lycoperdon periforme and various Pholiotas. Yesterday, we found one cluster of pholiotas at the base of a deteriorating hardwood snag, probably Golden Pholiota (P. aurivella). These had slightly slimy, bright-ochre caps with scatterings of flat, dot-like scales. The “planting” of Stropharia at Dave Mollen’s continues to produce some new mushrooms.
